Wow, I would totally bid on that if I had that much $$ sitting around. Almost do, too.

That's funny, on the TI R there is one cleared headlight (sans reflector) and on with the orange reflector. Interesting.

The glass is broken and the reflector got ripped out, lol.

there are laws in most states that do no allow regular joes like us to technically "bid". It usually has to be done through a broker :(

I heard about this company on CBS radio this morning. They are legit and moving crazy numbers of cars.

All of my cars for the last 15 years (except the 122) were bought through copart, my dad's a dealer. It's fun to take something that someone totalled and rebuild it yourself, sometimes you can make out like a bandit but most of the time you're into the car for 80 to 90 percent of retail, and it has a branded title.

I've been watching Rs to find a good candidate for rebuild, but the other guys who buy Volvos know what they're worth in parts and they go for way more than the average car. Regular cars go for around 1/4 to 1/3 of retail, any rebuildable R goes for half of retail simply because there's so many rare and valuable parts on them. At least that's been my experience. If it's up to $3k before the auction day, that Sacramento car will go for well over $7k at the actual auction. Plus fees and delivery.

I too have purcahsed through CoPart. Always been great, but the ln distance bidding is hard. We have a copart yard 20 minutes from my house and I stop in reualrly to see what they have.

Never went through them but purchased a couple Honda's, my Dad currently has a 95 Del sol, that were totalled titles. It had the B16 stock and after some work it goes like hell. It is one of his toys with no intention to ever sell it so the dirty title don't matter. Good way to get parts cars or project that you don't want to sell for anywhere near what you have in it.

This is true in Washington as well. I've bought from both Copart & IAA, all it took was a copy of my bodyshop business Lic

I am fairly new to this site but I bought my R off of copart.com. It is an R title but I still think I got a very good deal on my car. It is an 04 Manual that had 34,000 miles. I bought it for about $8,000 in July, put new tires on, changed some fuses, and it was good to go.

No pix, no care.

I will be in the Harrisburg area later this month and also 2 weeks in April. Perhaps you, myself, and Justin (Chilled Man) can meet up!

Judging by the SPC in your name, I am going to have to assume you are military? I am also, currently finishing up some training at Ft. Gordon.

I am always up for a get together. I have been looking for R people to hang out with, hopefully can get schooled a little more on my car haha.

I am in the Army Reserves as a Combat Medic. What branch/mos are you in?

They won't tell you, so unless someone logged in and watched the auction (or bought it), we'll never know. I know it was up to $4050 at auction start. I was too busy to watch for it though.
