It's a Bertone, folks! Of course it looks a little odd. It looks very much like the Maseratti Biturbo. It's what happens when you cross a Swede with an Italian. Either you love it, or you hate it (remember the 262C?). Personally, I think it's high time Bertone and Volvo hooked up again.
240, they were brought to the US. They weren't a big seller so they are rare. Eight years ago I saw one for sale for about fifteen grand. I bet, if you can find them, that they'd go for below ten gees nowadays.
They look alot better in person (and the interiour was really nice Italian leather two tone colour).
They are very nice cars. A friend owns three of them - an immaculate 90 turbo, a nice 90 V6, and a ratty 89 turbo. Very comfortable cars. Like a Jaguar that runs.
My friend has a blue '87 780 V6. They were about $52,000 (todays rate) back then. Crazy details in those things. I hated driving it. It's like driving a tank with body role and faster.
