Tie Rod Ends

I recently replaced the tie rod ends on my 740 Turbo. I jacked the car up and supported it on jack stands, with the wheels off. I then loosened the locking nuts and the joint nut. I banged on it with a hammer until it popped off. I had to use vice grips too. I then counted the number of turns required to remove the tie rod end and screwed the new ones on with the same number of turns. With both sides done, the car drives like new. All in all, it took me only about 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. An alignment is required, of course.
