i just installed new brakes and rotors on my '89 740 sedan and they squeak terribly when braking. the brakes are very effective, yet squealing is just obnoxious. i even removed the wheels after installation and cleaned the rotors with solvent to remove possible factory oils from the rotors. any advice would be helpful.
BTW, the pads probably have a surface area that you'll have to wear off. That'll get on the rotors initially, but it'll burn off.
PS Make sure you properly bed them in.
