Picked up my Polestar S60 this past Tuesday afternoon and still trying to figure out a lot of stuff...love the car very much. Keeping my extra mint 2004 S60R to drive in the winter months and keep new one salt free..I will have to store outside in my back yard and maybe plan to park on sheets of plywood laid out on grass beside a 10x21 foot building I have..maybe soil cloth would do not sure...also not sure if I should leave uncovered as it would be if I was driving it or buy premium cover?? My 04 is mint and has had 10 full Canadian winters and never been parked inside but I am seeing articles about maybe paint isn't as good as 04..if anyone has any input about storing I would appreciate it...Bill not sure how to attack any pics from desktop?? it is rebel blue by the way
Do you have a driveway? I'd park it on asphalt or the driveway and pay whatever it costs for a good car cover to protect my investment. If you wanted to go all out, there are wheel/tire covers you can buy too
I'm a little nervous that in the wind if the cover did any flapping around that it may mark the paint...but maybe premium covers won't do that but had it happen many a time with snowmobiles but then again they had nylon covers..my driveway is full and can't use it for storage so backyard would seem to be only option. I have thought that maybe I could find an older couple that don't drive and might have a double garage that is more or less empty and offer what ever amount$$
