I just returned from the dealer where I was refunded me deposit.

My advice would be to deal exclusively with the sales manager and not the polestar specialist. Unless you like being ignored and never getting a response from someone taking your $60k. Poor customer service from the polestar specialist, George was the reason for my withdrawal from the program.

The sales manager, Scott however is quite pleasant and made efforts to salvage the relationship and sale. But they were too late.

So, it was the salesman's attitude and lack of attention that killed the deal? Once you had the car, you would have had no reason to ever speak or see him again.
Anything wrong with car itself?
Will you seek one from another dealership?

The experience with the polestar specialist, George was so unpleasant that I couldn't give them my money and feel good about it. He shouldn't benefit from terrible, business relationship-ending customer service.

Good for you for taking a stand against lousy customer service. It's about time people started voting with their wallets and let businesses know they can't get away with treating the customer like garbage. Well Done Polestar.

Your missing out on a great car, I love mine. My experience at Barrier motors was pleasant, they always e-mailed me back promptly. No negotiation with this car, the only haggling was in finance. If you really wanted the car, why would you care if the guy you dealt with was a jerk, bypass him and go to the sales manager. The first person I dealt with at barrier was clueless, that was easily resolved.
