I know this was discussed in one of the other threads, but a) I can't find it, and b) I think it deserves its own thread...
So I changed out the license plate bulbs for LED bulbs, but I'm wanting to do the interior one, odd that some of the interior bulbs are already LED (puddle lights, and footwell lights), but main map reading and courtesy lights, glovebox light, and trunk lights are still filament type bulbs.
Anyone got any insight on this, or can offer advise on where to purchase? and what type of bulbs are needed?
I'm also wanting to do our new XC90RD with the LED interior bulbs, which look to be the same as those in the P*, help on identifying the right bulbs would be greatly appreciated.
For the P* I believe I need 6x T10 type bulbs for the interior courtesy and map reading lights, and 2x festoon bulbs (glovebox and trunk), would be interested in the puddle light bulbs under the mirrors, and what type of bulb they are...
Then for the XC90, I believe I need 8x T10 bulbs for interior courtesy and map reading lights, and 4x festoon bulbs (glovebox, trunk, and front footwell lights).
So from my calculation that's 14x T10 bulbs, and 6x festoon bulbs altogether...then 4x whatever the puddle light bulbs are in the mirror housing?
After going through the car, I realized that I need 4 vanity bulbs, 1 glove box bulb, and 2 puddle lamp bulbs to make the entire LED conversion complete.
Quick question, COLOR vs CONTRAST in the screen menu, is there a description for each located anywhere?

Kudos for changing the bulbs on your own. The tech that did mine said they are tough. Actually, they aren't even listed in the manual because they are supposed to be by a dealer/tech. Glove box was easy. I changed that one over the weekend. Next up... puddle lamps, and vanity mirrors.
I would not suggest to change the bulbs for vanity mirror because they are so bright, they will nothing but dazzle you, especially when it is dark outside
And the other problem, as I heard, is that they will produce an error message (dont know why though, thats just what I heard).
tilt mirror all the way up and find little tab that needs to be pushed in and down with a flat head screw driver. it will pop down. you may also need flashlight. Easy procedure.
