Remarkable depreciation of a 4 month old UK V70 p*

Under their 'selekt' scheme Volvo UK are offering a 4 month old V60 P* for a discount of £14,000 on their list price.

Really surprising that this is presumably how Volvo UK themselves view its true value as defined by the price at which it may sell.

It would now be reasonable to expect them to be offered for sale, used in a year or two below the £20,000 mark, and at that price they will be an attractive and sensible proposition for a capable but workaday vehicle.

That's not unique to Volvo. We bought our year old BMW M5 years ago for something like 25% off the sticker price. Same thing with my last AMG car. Special interest car prices always tank initially and then keep dropping faster than the more pedestrian versions.

Different markets, different prices.
Here in Southern California, two slightly used V60Ps (with mileage anywhere from 500 to 1,500) were sold at MSRP. Clearly, the Polestars are more appreciated in the U.S.
