This part of the article is pretty cool and probably the part I want the most. "Also included with the car is an exclusive track experience with McLaughlin where the owners will get the opportunity to properly drive their Volvo S60 or V60 Polestar under his tuition."
I've wondered what the side scuff plates would look like painted. I tried them in silver but didn't like the look but with Rebel Blue and the black inserts they look much better. The skirts are available unpainted, just need to find a shop that can match the blue.
As much as i'm a huge fan of Scotty I'm disappointed that essentially it's a polestar with black wheels (you can do yourself) and some paint, and signed headrests. I'm sure his hands were completely tied and he wasn't allowed to do the things I'm sure he really wanted to do. I'd have personally made a lightweight parts bin special like GM does every time they do some sort of special edition. Last weekend at Sebring GM sent one of the Grassroots editors with a Camaro SS, but it was a parts Bin special that they will build for you for a fraction of the cost of a Z28 and their bet was that it would lap nearly the same as a Z28. Kinda neat.
IMHO, the tweaks lend themselves better to Rebel Blue. Subject to taste, but I'm not a black wheels/black car kind of guy, and the side skirt definition is lost in black paint.
I actually am a fan of the monotone look. This is actually what my car will look like when the wrap comes off, realizing this is an S60 and I added Gloss Black trim. I was actually going for the monotone look with charcoal wheels but they didn't come out dark enough so I just went black. Everyone has their own tastes.
