Based on a quick read of the chillton manual, sounds like the MAS, Constant Idle need adjustment. When trying to use the gas pedal to kick down the RPM, only causes a slight retard, then back up to 1100RPM, Even after temp to normal operating range.
Am I on the right track? And any suggestions to get this car down to 750RPM. Idles very smooth even at the higher RPM, wondering why a mechanic would set it this high???
What may he have been trying to hide? Boost comes on stong, car performs well, and has little lag, and no skip. Tranny engages well with little if any downkick problems. Visual inspectioj of all hoses and vacumns seem ok, and no hissing. Am I missing something to check?
Just uncomfortable with the high idle.
Any ideas??
