I just got a 1990 740 turbo sedan the other day, used to have an 89 740 turbo wagon.
The only problem with this car seems to be that after a few minutes of driving hard (some wot to redline) it seems the oil dipstick pops out and some oil comes out the tube. at idle or mild turning of the throttle cam i do not feel MUCH air puffing out the dipstick, but there is a small amount. On a related note, it appears the cap leaks some oil too because the cam cover is a bit grimey and oily.
I heard there is a flame trap that can be cleaned, or maybe a crankcase breather? I'm familiar with PCV systems clogging, does anyone have a simple how to on this? Not sure where to find the breather nor the flame trap, nor what they look like exactly.
Thanks for any help.
