Hi All! I just bought my first Volvo - a 1988 740 GLE Turbo. The automatic transmission shifts from 2nd to 3rd, and 3rd to 4th, at @ 3000 rpm (which seems a little high to me) with a noticible "kick." Mileage is 165,000 and the vehicle has been impeccably maintained. Is this just a normal "Volvo thing?" Or should I have the tranny looked at? There's absolutely no slipping, clunking or anything else out of the ordinary. Just the "kick." Thanks!
