I've had my 745 turbo over 20,000 kms now, just wondering about changing the auto tranny fluid. How much approx would this be? Is there a filter that has (should) be changed at the same time?
Re: How much to change the auto tranny fluid? (VolvoVancouver)
You might want to check out the Brickboard 700/900 FAQ for specifics about what should be done, but I think you should have the fluid flushed, not just changed, because that way the torque converter gets new fluid run through it too. There should be a filter that gets replaced, and a new seal on the pan. I think it was around $40 to change the fluid in my manual trans (simple dump and fill), so for an auto I'd guess you're looking at US$100 or more. Supply your own fluid and parts and you'll knock off some of their profit.
