I replaced the CArb a few years ago, supposedly with a rebuilt carb, have had problems with CO emissions.
Here's hte latest stuff I've done to pass the AirCare test.
Been driving with high test fuel for a few months.
Put a carn cleaner in teh tank, drove it out and filled up with 10% Ethanol fuel for the test.
Refilled ATF in the carb
Over inflated tires for the test
Drove about 200 miles before the test
Failed! Help!
I have a 1983 244 DL runs like a top, but has failed Aircare two years running.
One mechanic can always get it working well with a bent paperclip in the carb ( presumabley realigning the pin?) but most others are futile wastes of money.
Any suggestions?
