Brake "Shimmy" : Feels like rotors, Bushings?????

Hi
I'm new to this forum, so I beg a little slack. I have come from vwvortex.
My 740 feels like it needs the rotors cut all the time. I found a note saying check the suspension bushings first. Can anyone shed some light on this? If the bushings are the culprit, great! (I have 202K on them). What about the rear rotors? I get a steering wheel shimmy when I apply the brakes easy, but it goes away when I really get on them. ??????
Thanks.

Re: Brake "Shimmy" : Feels like rotors, Bushings????? (DragginWagon)

The strut rod bushings on the 700 series are prone to wearing out and causing front end movement that you should feel under braking especially. Consider replacing these first using the poly bushings instead of rubber. IPD sells them, and you might find them elsewhere for less.
