Did my third fmic install on an 04R and man is it getting easier and to do!
My thoughts were that if anyone in the northeast wants a fmic installed on a 04-07 s60r and v70r at a good price I could possibly do it for you! Really love doing it and a buddy and I have gotten the installs down to 4-5hours with a complete custom kit.

So if anyone is interested either for an install or for a kit plus install...send me a pm! I should be able to help!

Volvo's paint and body work is truly second to none, and the ember black color is incredible. If you haven't seen this color in person, check it out the next time you're at the Volvo dealership. The car looks an entirely different color in direct sunlight.

This car is BY FAR the greatest vehicle I've ever owned, or even driven. It is on-par with, or better than the German cars in its class. It's a shame that people tend to avoid Volvos since the name doesnt seem to have the came cachet as BMW or Audi. However, it does make cars like ours seem a little more exclusive. I know that I would never be able to replace my car with something else that has the same features and comfort without spending three times what I paid for this car -- at least!

Coming home the other day I passed a couple of cars with no problem then POOF! Little smoke cloud behind me. Pulled over and did a visual and found ATF coming out of the engine bay. AAA flatbed to my local indy and parked. He hasn't put it up on the lift yet to do a thorough inspection but I suspect maybe a supply or return line to the cooler. He is a little reluctant to do the repair due to the complexity of flush and replace on the 06. Can't say I blame him. So I am probably looking at trucking it out to the dealership for a repair.

I am hoping it is something simple [I know that sounds dumb] but if it is just a line or fitting that let go then maybe I get away lucky.

Anyone have anything similar happen and what was the outcome?

Lots of kms (330k) but, as I said, well-maintained (synthetic oil, PCV service, transmission flush, timing belt, no problems with e-test, etc.), it's solid and it runs well. We'd keep it, but two cars are a pain in the city (and my family knows that I'm rather attached to our VR.) It's a Volvo, so it just needs a good home and it will just keep rolling...

I'm thinking $2500 as-is or $3000 certified & e-tested. My only concern is the tranny..i've had an 01 t5 and I know those transmissions are horrible, but I was wondering do the R's have the same transmission problems as those?
