When you touch the break or turn the steeringwheel, the system does not work because the systems only works when you do not react at all.haha just like the new S-Class demo that went wrong..
WRONG !!! It is not the same as the Mercedes-problem, because the Volvo System works perfect for what it is designed for.
Interesting how the "amateur" photography is better than the "official" stuff. Is that last color a light blue or silver?
I like the Merac wheels, too bad they're asymmetric (or don't have "mirror image" wheels for opposing sides).
That radio-pod thing still looks like an afterthought.

Hey did Volvo CANX the beige steering wheel & shifter? (Based on scathing comments here?) The brown/tan interior above has the black wheel & shifter.
Not too bad looking!!
Definately look better with a little more aggressive tire/wheel combo.I likey!
YEAH, really like the car from these pics, especially the exterior. What is the dark green color, it looks great?Oh and did anyone notice how the brown-beige interior has black steering wheel and shifter, I thought they should be beige too??![]()

Look up two posts.
I think black looks MUCH better than beige, but also wonder how a matching brown would look?
Now that Volvo has fixed the wheel/shifter color for the brown/beige interior, next I would add an inlay that's similar to the XC70's "Crossed Aluminum Trim" (i.e. a darker inlay than the XC60's "Brushed Aluminum Trim") for the brown/beige interior.

Ahhh, we are being teased mercilessly with this...XC60 D5 AWD...![]()
Great pictures, by the way! Similar events will be staged at every U.S. Volvo retailer in October and November.

Not to mention three pedals instead of two.

The black steering wheel/shifter is a $0 option on the Euro.spec.

But only the 2.4D awd and D5 awd is available with the 6MT. And who want's a diesel with a MT!?

You have to shift like crazy!

I have one.
There is nothing crazy about it.
It is just more fun than the lazy automatic driving.

It is just more fun than the lazy automatic driving.I think the gears are to 'short'. Ex in first, if you floor it takes 2sec before you hit the revlimiter.

Not an SUV...I have driven a V70 D5 manual. Depends on what you expect out if it. Sure, I will not get the flexibility of my V70 T5 5-speed manual but that V70 was great driving.

Most diesels behave this way I guess. Also the 2.0D is very short on the first gear.
The thing I found irritating about the manual diesel was the amount of "thinking" needed by the engine management after shifting. After every shift it takes a moment before the power is back on.
I drove a C30 D5 6MT R-design a few weeks ago. Really, really fast! BUT, as I wrote before, the gear are so short! I drive my XC90 D5 6GT every day, and it feels soooo much better with the gear tronic! And, it's really fast with the GT as well! Actully, the XC90 feels a lot faster with the GT.But I don't have to care about that now, because I've changed to an S80 V8 Executive!
It's ok yannis, you can have all the diesel-cars with both MT and GT, I don't care!
