Thread: I love the BMW X6

I'm sure I'm all by myself on this one.

I think it would be cool if they just squashed it vertically and made it a proper car as opposed to some indecisive middle ground compromise SUV/Car. Right now it just looks like an overly tall sedan inspired by the CLS coupe-sedan styling.

Regardless, like all new BMWs, I'm sure it has approximately 1000 lbs of extra electronic garbage.

If only it had a fifth seat it would be on my dream list.

    I Agree with Kurt.
NONE have sold around here, it's ungainly (and very expensive).
If it were lowered about 4" perhaps it wouldn't look like a pregnant guppy but no one around here gives them a second look!

If you want the same look squashed vertically and in "car" form rather than pseudo-suv, try the sdrive35i5GT whatever:

That's the first thing I thought of... what an fugly POS. I mean, why have the slant-back like that? Either have a sedan or a wagon, but just look at the Aztec for popular demand... it's an impractical design. Visibility for checking the blind spot must be horrible.

    And I thought Bangle quit.

    Past:

    Present:
    '06 LR3 HSE - RSE & more; '07 E63 AMG Wagon - P2 package, 3rd row, walnut, etc.

    X6 5.0's are outselling X6 3.5's here in DC. at $90k a pop. I'd rather have a X5 4.8i and save the $20k.

Form over function...... especially from BMW.

So 10 5.0's have been sold while 4 3.5's have left the floor?

I think the car is attractive, but I agree with the others that it impractical.

I sat in one and there really is not much room in there. Actually the same is true for the infiniti FX really good looking car but the interior has about the same amount of room as the S60R.

For those looking for a sporty people hauler neither truely fits the bill.

I almost bought an FX45 way back when (summer 2003) but the interior (and the early cars' very rough ride) killed the deal and so I bought the 04 R instead.

The X6 xDrive50 is hard to get here. There's a 6 month waiting list -- at least there was last I checked.

I think the local dealer had enough trouble moving the first batch they got and aren't looking to bank on future success w/ them.

Come and get it. I am sure that they won't mind.

I've seen several X6's on the road here in Chicagoland. The only thing uglier than the pictures of the X6, is the X6 in real life. It looks flat-out gangly and mis-shapen.

    535xi FTW

    Thanks, but no thanks.

It's a cool car, but I'd never buy it. This X5 & 328xi are the last BMWs we'll be buying for a little while thanks to a lack of interesting products...

Every single 5.0 at VOB is a customer car. When they get the car in stock, it goes into their inventory database until RDR'd.
