I haven't been able to go to any shops for coilovers. You may want to check up on "Revscene". People reccoment places around the lower mainland. Do you know any place to get a quote for an exhaust system? Just gonna a magnaflow and tips. Any suggestions?

The guy that does my VW is most excellent and I'm quite certain he'll be able to take care of the Volvo. I was just curious if there's any local Volvo shops out here...

Vash, I assume you live in Vancouver so if you're just getting the exhaust installed you could try MFRT. They're more of a JDM car shop but they did lots of work on my old '01 GTI and I was always pretty pleased with the work. You can give me a shout or add me on msn if you need any more info on them.

If you're looking to buy a Magnaflow try Lordco (Crazy, I know...). I bought a Magnaflow cat-back there once and it was super cheap. They gave me a huge discount.

      Re: (Moofluffen)

Yeah I looked up magnaflow dealers in Vancouver and the only thing that popped up was Lordco and Canadian Tire . Never even thought of them. Should I just buy the parts there and bring it over to whomever you suggest? What am I looking around for price wise.

      Re: (Vash13)

I don't have the receipts for the parts from my other GTI anymore but I believe the exhaust was around $300. Any muffler shop could install it. I don't even remember who did mine...

With the 2nd (and better!) exhaust on that car I ordered it from one shop and had it installed by MF.

Re: What did you do to your car today? (cicatrizdare)

      Had a local shop install:

      1) IPD sway bar
      2) IPD front end links
      3) Eibach camber arms

Just had no time (or the real desire) to do it myself.

For the first time in the car's life it aligned within specs. Can't say the sway bar did much for cornering, still feels fat and top-heavy but geez it tracks the straights and slight twisties like it's brand new. Practically drives itself and no jitters or wiggles on uneven pavement. Had 30 knot crosswinds coming home and it felt minimal, w/no tugging left or right. Very pleased with the glide of the ride for hwy driving. Feels like an "expensive" ride again - with a little attitude.

Went 132mph at 10:57pm on freeway today, with new 18 wheels too. I was satisfied but I was hoping the acceleration to 160 would be better. The s40 accelerates like a monster until you hit 110

"modded" my amp in the trunk a little:

and - inspired by AJ, got me some oracal / orafol and tried out the eyelids...
(I'm not sure if this is the final form, or if I'm going to stick with black or red... what do you guys think?)

A freind of mine and I installed the Evolve FMIC into my '05 V50 T5 AWD. It just wants to take off now, much smoother over the turbo band and the Heico exhaust is a bit deeper. What's next? Larger IC pipes or a intake?

Any perceivable performance difference between the iridiums and the Volvo OEMs?

I got the Denso Iridiums , paid like $76 for all 5 from IPD. Supposed to be a "Cooler" plug .... could be, and I don't dought anyone, but I don't feel a differance at all .... in this case I trust the experts, if trust alone is good enough... then Perceived improvement will be there

Ooo samkell, keep us updated, I'm hesitant to install a K&N due to mixed reactions with MAF issues/increased dirt allowed through.
