For the past few months, I have been working on a personal project and it has consumed a lot of my time. It is finally coming together and will be drivable in a matter of days and then it will be time to begin the minor body work needed as well as my plans for the interior.

    Specs:
    1993 S13 240SX (base model)
    2JZGTE Toyota Supra TT engine
    R154 5spd Transmission with 1JZ bellhousing/flywheel
Haltech Platinum Sport 2000 Engine Management System
    Precision 6262 Billet Ported Turbo
    External 38mm Wastegate
    Walbro 255lph High-Output Fuel Pump
    Boost Logic Fuel Rail
    Precision 1000cc peak/hold Injectors
    Aeromotive Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
    Infinity J30 Rear Differential (3.92:1)
26"x12"x4" Front Mount Intercooler with custom piping
    3" Downpipe & Straight-out exhaust
    800cc Straight Methanol Injection

Was the idea to mate the two together all along, or did you have one (car or engine) before the other?

This was the idea from the beginning. I was going to hold off for a few years, but my buddy came across a 240sx that was automatic and had a blown motor, so I got it for $400. I had to add a master cylinder and clutch pedal (as shown above) but that wasn't a big deal at all. My buddy has had a 2JZ in his S13 for the past 2 years, so were building it's "brother"

Can't see very well but it appears you are using some kind of rubber "stack" as front engine mounts. I would suggest to use less/shorter rubber and use something like an aluminum spacer to give it better stability.

Very nice project! Have done something similar myself and once rolling the effort is very rewarding.

LOL, yes. They are hockey pucks at $1 each.
I will be reducing it down to 1 hockey puck per side with the rest in steel tube. Unfortunately the engine cannot come any lower because it is about 1/16" off the steering rack as it sits right now.

Well, I took it to Cecil on Friday night and only have one slip to show. These stupid *****s with their cheap-ass bolt-on turbo kits on their hondas were blowing up left and right so the lines moved unbelievably slow. I went up against my buddy who also has a 2JZ in an S13. He has a PT67 and I have a PT6262. I am running 20psi of boost (for now) and I had a terrible launch but my trap speed really says something. I also found that I had (until Saturday after the track) spark plugs that were almost completely show (electrodes worn terribly and about a .050" gap...YIKES!)

I bought new plugs and the car now spins all the way through 3rd and 4th also spins.

Here is my time slip. I am car #36 and my buddy is #240.

    120mph trap? sick...

i think you can boost to about 30psi, a buddy of mine with a supra boosts 26 on the street and 30+ on the track...

That all depends on the turbo.
There is a guy who has the same turbo as I do and put down 433rwhp @ 16psi on the 2JZ, and I am currently running 20psi. If I tried to run 30psi on this engine, I would probably be making over 800whp lol. For now, I am going to keep it less than 600whp because its already scary on the street.

no doubt, do you have a manual boost controller setup?

what engine management are you running? <- nevermind, you listed it.

do you plan to DE-RICE the interior???

The Haltech has an integrated boost controller so I am using a boost control solenoid in conjunction with the ECU output. The Haltech features multiple digital and analog auxiliary inputs and outputs.

The interior has been de-riced for the most part. I painted all the trim back to normal black. I am replacing the carpet with a new set. I am replacing the seats with Yonaka Ronin cloth bucket seats, which should hopefully be here early next week. I need to start building my roll cage very soon as it is required for 11.49 and lower.

Not really. Unconventional engine-swap projects never turn out to be as fast as people might think, evidenced by his 12.4 @ 120 MPH run. A full-weight MKIV Supra TT with the most basic of bolt ons (or BPU™) in proper running-order will trap about 118 MPH, and we're talking about $1200-1500 in modifications. With just a few more bolt-ons while still running the stock turbos, a Supra can easily trap upwards of 125 MPH.

To only go 120 MPH with a single-turbo weighing 1000 lbs. less than a Supra is quite pathetic.

    Props to your project, though.

Wow, thanks for pissing on my feet. I'm glad others appreciate the work I've put into this. To even get my hands on a MKIV Supra (auto, at that), we are looking at over $20k. All said and done, I've spent around $9k. Hmmm.

This was my first run in this car at the track and I had a terrible launch EVIDENCED by a 2.4 60' time. Being able to still trap 120mph at 20psi is actually quite entertaining. Please don't ignore the fact that I have 195/60/15 tires on the rear. If you do a little bit of homework on this motor, let alone swapped into an S13 or S14, you would know that this isn't as "pathetic" as you might think.

    3500lbs - 3000lbs = 500lb difference, not 1000.

...JDM cams also have shorter duration and lift. I am considering swapping out with USDM or HKS 272s.

For the rest...dyno results to come soon!

My buddy had an s13 with just a straight six skyline engine...i forget which it was but when he got it he took me for a ride and he spun the tires at 80mph easily. He went to wyotech for this stuff and he did build a full sti swaped 02 subaru wrx that was recently wrecked. He currently sold the s13 and has a S14 with a bigger skyline engine i think its the SR20DET or the one above it, 9k rev or 10k rev i forget...but it puts a smile on my face haha...ohh and must i mention that the paint job is immaculate...ill post some pics if i find it online

The RB25DET is another common swap into the S13. My buddy had that prior to his 2JZ swap. I went straight to 2JZ

The SR20DET is the Silvia and is the most common of the swaps for the S13.

Mine is far from immaculate, but bit by bit, day by day, its getting there. I am in the middle of installing my Yonaka racing seats. Getting the brackets made for those seats is a chore in itself since the mounting points obviously don't line up. I have to make sure I keep everything straight and level. If I get the seats done tonight, I will post pics!

Great job on the hybrid....if you need any parts, drop me a line. My old '90 s13 is in Birdsboro. Lots of gofast goodies on her. A lady in the oncoming lane made a left turn while looking in her rearview mirror, I was in the other lane...she hit me on the driver B-pillar & spun me into some guys lawn...while he was cutting the grass! Anyway I had optimized that car for a decade, and there are lots of interesting pieces to be had.....ft & rr strut bars, original 240 ltd slip, new adj radius rods, f/g headlight cover with NACA duct...real racy....lemme know if any interest.
