Thread: How many S60 R's were made by year?

    I hope this isn't a horrible repeat post, but does anyone know how many SR's were made by year (2004 especially)? I'm in a bragging contest with a friend...

    All I can give you is sonic blue SR's from 06 and 07- they're on this forum
    2006 S60R Sonic Blue MT w/Gobi (none of that Nordcrap) SOLD I miss Heidi...

    And rare they were. I had so much interest when I sold mine.

    To recap; approx 3800 SR's and 1200 VR's ended up in the US in 2004. SR's were approximately 50/50 MT/GT while the VR's were approximately 25/75 MT/GT.

    I was arguing with a guy who thought that he had one upped me with his non-turbo (well ok, he added a turbo), 1993, TURQUOISE Toyota MR2 because it was rarer. So fail, and....fail.

    is it possible to tell what # car you have off the assembly line by reading the vin?

    you can estimate by build date. My 2006 was built on 6/30/2005, one of the first days of Job 1 for '06.
