Not exactly an R, but does have the R nose, 2.5 liter motor and all wheel drive so its a bit of a misnomer to say its not an R either.

had they worked out the angle gear and awd issues by 2009? did this one come manual? just curious... apparently, the awd on the new model S60 will operate under completely different rules from ours.

IIRC, it's a fully custom AWD system, that has nothing to do with our cars unfortunately.

They should sell it to the R/S60/V70 AWD folks ;D

You got as much money as the cost of a new R?, then you go right ahead and buy the system

I think it's a sequential gearbox with all sorts of fancy-schmancy bevel gear stuff.

I am lucky enough to live like 20 min away from the shop that built those 2 SEXXXY S60's......

It was cool to see a S60 Shell from Volvo, It was even better to see them chop and add Carbon Fiber in places that made me feel "Randy"
And dont put your small children and animals by that HUGE TURBO!!!! It will suck them right in. And those Fenders with BBS Love fillin it up......
Oh My I gotta go clean up, Sorry.

surely they could come up with an angle gear fix, no? I mean vs building a complete custom AWD setup

they could if they wanted to...

or if they were actually using m66 or volvo auto trannys

with the amount of hp and torque they're pumping out they had to use a completely custom drivetrain... the new gear boxes seem to be working well! i remember last year they kept having problems

Sooo, who feels like giving them a call and seeing how much it is for one of those sexy hoods shipped? My excuse: I'm in Europe currently

Agreed, noticed on closer inspection that the fenders isn't perfectly round...But it gives me ideas. At first glace it looks great, and probably one of the best (so far) wide body mods I've seen yet on our Rs.

i haven't seen pics of that opel in a loooonng time, that car looks great. i love the angle showing the back lines of the car say from the back side (which you don't have pictured)

I forgot it had a volvo power plant in it. car looks much newer than it is given the body kit that was put on it.

opel manta if memory serves me correct. ... of to google..

    found it

    I'd totally drive that.

volvo powerplant seems to put down enough power.... supercharged and turbocharged 578hp 706nm torque (521 ft lbs?)

That car does a great job at being pretty extreme without crossing the line into riceyness.

When googling the car it looks like all the custom body works is metal and looked aluminum to boot.
