While at the SEMA Show in November, Swedespeed was as surprised as you were to see a new company on the Volvo aftermarket: Evolve Cars. While at the show, we sat down with Don Nicholson, President of Evolve Cars to learn more about the new startup.

Volvo hyping this new company over an IPD that has developed products and served our community frustrates me. It's also frustrating that they have shied away from the 500 hp claim. Yet everything I have read still leads one to believe they claim ~500hp. Evolve has some very interesting products in the works. I am interested in the side inlets to get more air in so there will be more cooling to the front brakes as mentioned in this article for one.

I race, so will be glad to spend $$ with them when they have developed real products. I wish they had something more to offer R owners than a different shifter knob. I’ll give them a chance, but I wish they would cool the PR until they have something tangible to promote other than their dreams.

While I can feel for your impatience, I'd remind you that these guys just got a car in late August. To develope product, it takes time. I believe the press release was printed ahead of the show and their anticipation was to have it done. That didn't happen.

I would suggest you give them a chance.

    I would.

I think they made a not so good business start.
Their site is up for a month now and so far they have promised decals and the article promises a shifter knob made by Sparco.
I know this is not a nice thing to say but Evolve needs to make their site a lot more substancial on short notice.
Of course nobody can't wait for aftermarket parts, look at iPD and the people asking for an ECU upgrade, but that doesn't change a thing about the fact that all we have seen are some turbo duct work and a fibre glass spoiler kit and a lot of air.

I'd suggest they post some parts. Maybe a downpipe and exhaust, ECU upgrade, the big brake kit and the rims for now. Just something. Anything better than air.

Heck, I can make a decal today and put it on my R just for support but then there must be something available..
