Exclamation What did you buy for your car today - Post Pics

Seeing as I am about to do a major brake job on my cars, I bought this to help the process.

      Motive Black Label Brake bleeder.

I picked up a set of Volvo OEM aero load bars off EB for $70. They have just a few light marks on them but the fit great.

Saw this on sale today for $99 - 227 piece mechanic's tool set. Broke 3/8 socket working on my calipers and knew I needed 1/2" drives one day.

The torque driver won't let you over tighten no matter how hard you try.

Sorry, I meant if it didn't come with one, then don't over tighten with whatever tool you use.

I chopped 1/2 of a coil off of the evolve springs in the rear... they let the car sit more evenly after modding

So you basically shifted weight to the rear as your rear end is now more lowered then your front, right? That certainly improved your ability to accelerate and handling in general..

Don't you think there is a reason behind the fact Elevate choosed to make front springs lowered 1.5" and rears 1.4"?

Make sure to bleed the brake lines to get all the air out. Why were they getting stuck?

    34. #32
I'll look into that tomorrow morning

the calipers were fine when applying the foot brake, but the handbrake got stuck. which means, if I pull the lever and release it, the brakes were still on. and also, driving around and using the pedal wouldn't help. A friend of mine at a dealership told me that the ford (rear) brake calipers tend to get stuck.

It's far more likely that your park brake cables are seizing. I've seen plenty of bad cables, but I've never seen faulty calipers.

    37. #35
yup. that's what I noticed today. replaced the calipers, bled the brakes, and the handbrake still wasn't working properly. oh well, I'll have to get a new handbrake cable..
