So I am eventually going to do a write-up on this new idea I had if anyone is interested and I wanted to wait for a grand unveiling but I need opinions before continuing. Long story short, I had the idea to add diagonal acrylic strips in place of the egg yolk. Used Evercoat body filler to fill in the yolks cavity then cut slits. I had to cut open the parking light's reflective cover in order to supply light to the outer part of the headlight lens.
Here is a picture and video of what they look like from the side. I want opinions on whether people like the frosted glass (achieved by sanding) or the clear acrylic look. I like how the frosted glass disperses the light so the bulb cannot be seen but the clear looks really sharp and clean.
Sounds like a contest then. We will have to create a polled thread on whose is more preferred lol. What is your idea? Do you have any pictures or just an idea for right now?
The color matched bezels came out pretty good. If it wasn't my first time using body filler, they would look fantastic. I don't think anyone will notice when they are behind the glass lense.

Yes the bezels are painted Ti grey. I have not put hem in yet because I am waiting on projector lenses to do a retrofit before putting my headlights back together. I wonder how they will look once fully installed.
I love the way this looks, and I agree that frosted looks better.
Where did you get the clear acrylic pieces? I've been looking for thin acrylic that I could frost/sand for an LED project but haven't found anything that I like.
Looks great! Also looks like you used a different kit than your other rings.
I've been contemplating doing the rings in the DRL slots as well, so when the xenons are on and the DRLs are off the rings are on and vice versa. Think I'd just be able to tap into the headlights for power?
Yes they are different rings. I am using CCFL this time opposed to LED rings. Now that I have the CCFLs I like how they provide a smooth lighting across the whole circumfrance and look alot more sleek in the headlight housing.
Do you run your lights on auto? If so I believe the DRL's cut off when the headlight comes on. Is this correct?
What size CCFL did you use for the DRL? I actually had the same idea a while back, but the idea passed until I saw this thread. Headlights look great. Can't wait to see them installed.
She is done. Only took 7 weeks. Not recommended install for a daily driver. It's cool that you can still see the CCFL around the projector shroud even when the projector is on. Thank God for focused lighting. I will get a shot during the day to show how well the color matched bezels blend in with the car. I don't like being cocky but the results really F'ing excited me.
Best looking headlights I've seen on an S60/S60R yet!! Great job!!
