I like the connection of the LED with the other low beam light very much but I must admit it looks a lot nicer at night/evening.
If it was on my car I would have recessed them inside the none-fog covers so it's not so dominant during the day.

The lights on the none-foglight covers are flush with the "fins" that's on the cover :-)

I was about to say it!

A Ford with a Peugeot/Ford cooperation engine matched to a Ford transmission, fixed to a Ford suspension setup with Ford size brake calipers and Ford brake discs, ... No matter where he turns his eyes in the S40 1.6d, FoMoCo is written all over it

BUT imagination can move mountains... Well, sometimes at least

    17. #16

      Hey guys!

reviving my old thread instead of making a new one

the car has had alot of work done in the years, and i wanted to show you guys what i did to it

      pictures coming soon

    19. #18
I decided that i wanted a little more aggressive front, so took the bottom part of an audi s-line bumper and plastic welded to the original lip.

      done painting.

then i figured... i dont like my color very much. time for respray

i have no pictures of the sprayong in the booth, new phone

      finished result last summer:

and now im working on some drl headlights for my car, gonna post pictures of that when im done

give me feedback on what you like/dislike or if you have any questions

Ha! More Norwegians! (Forøvrig litt lættis det klistremerket ditt... )

Going to keep it in English for the "natives"... Why did you respray? Those 1.6d grow on trees here?
Still, love both colors, eventhough I'm a sucker for blue...
Nice front lower lip, it really suits the car... Just the rest of the lower trim to go? Do you have any further plans?

car looks great! and totally bonkers that you went for a complete respray!!

I've done some plastic welding in the past (rear diffuser), but I never got around actually doing it right. any advice? I might give it a shot some time in spring, have a spare OEM front lip lying around.

      Mentor86:

did the respray because i work as a painter, and i was bored with the color 😁
there are quite a few s40's here in Tromsø, so i wanted it to stand out a little bit 😉
my plans are updating the headlights, and put new lighting in the foglight covers and chiptuning at 11/3 😊

      crossie:

the way i did it was to plastic weld the original lip to the bumper and building from there, so you have the basic shape of the lip.
used automotive plastic glue combined with welding to make sure it was strong enough. used the plastic glue as putty to make it smooth.
because if you use regular putty it will crack eventually

Haha! That's actually where I picked up my V50! (It's ZH-registered...) I drove from Drammen with my old 1.6d V50 totally base model to get "The Tractor"!

From the pics, you did a great job with the paint! Unfortunately, Tromsø is way too far away for you to paint mine when time comes...

Again, your front lip is truly awesome!

Hehe... No, I haven't got a build thread just yet... But this is the first one I made, and this second one is about how I painted the foglight housings...
