Are the polished? I think I might really like them! I love 5 spoke wheels with a 5 bolt pattern. The thicker spokes are a nice compliment on the 850. Any better pics of the wheels?

As she sits now. 1993 850 5-Speed, All the options except auto trans (thankfully). Just recently acquired her as my first car. 300,??? Miles. Odo stopped about 100,000 miles ago so I checked the OBD-1 port and it blinked out 306,000 miles but that was about a month ago, so right now I really don't know how many miles she has. She's not in mint condition, not yet anyway, bith the community's help (A.K.A y'all) I hope to get her there.

Sorry for the so-so image quality. It is Instagram after all. While it may look good on a 4 inch iPhone screen, blown up to fit a computer screen is a different story.

Thanks! But the picture can be somewhat deceiving. The headliner needs replacing, the clear coat is peeling on hood and bit of left finder, the drivers seat has a bad rip in the leather, and for some reason this car does not have the panels that go in the driver and passenger footwells underneath the dash. Other than those minor cosmetic issues, she's pretty solid. Mechanically and electronically, she's in the works. Did about a $500 service on her when we first got her (mostly routine maintenance that needed to be performed. we did it ll because we did not know the last time she had gone in for service.) What's left to do that we know of is replace left front axle (bad boot), replace blower motor resistor, tune-up, and some other things that I connot currently remember. If anyone has any tips/hints those would be greatly appreciated. Since I am going to be doing most of the work myself and since I am a high school student, budget is always an issue. My parents will gladly help, but since they bought me the car and payed for the $500 service, I would rather them not have to pay for much else.

      Very respectable, and nice find!

You should be able to find just about any information or help you need on the forums I'm 22 now, I knew nothing about car mechanics when I bought my S40, but thanks to SwedeSpeed, I've been comfortable enough to do almost everything but the timing belt service, alignment, and tint.

All very simple fixes. Go to a few junkyards and start swapping seats from 70 series cars and get those interior pieces from the facelifted 850s. It'll be fun.

@T501 thank you! I'm going to do the trim and a wax within the next few weeks. Also just ordered an all black egg crate grille for it too. I've had the car a while now, it's just a slow moving process as it's a DD and weekend project. Either way I just love this car!

Is that an XC bumper? How closely does it line up? I was under the impression that the 70s were a bit shorter up front than the 850s.
