Noticed a leak on garage floor the other morning...

Today I got her up on the lift and to my horror I noticed this...

Angle gear is not longer bolted into the tranny... bolts are sheered off and stuck in transmission.. So much facepalm

AWD still working. But I can rotate angle gear up and down

In first gear at peak torque that would be just under 1000 lb*ft. Shock loading it with a clutch dump at 4K is pretty healthy. Still, the bolts should normally be plenty strong. I would also soak in PBlaster over night. With out the heads on them they may back out easily. If they got a barb, you try to carefully hammer them backwards using a small punch. If that fails, then go fo the EZ outs. Then replace with grade 12.9 bolts!
