Otherwise that looks killer! I have always wanted a staggered set up but some day even that will happen!
I know I'll take a hit on tire life, but for me, the look is worth it. I've had pretty even wear, so i don't think it'll be a big issue. I'll swap sides to reduce noise.

Interesting, wonder how the Haldex likes this over the long term.

Will always be a delta with wheel sensor feedback (front vs back) in this configuration, wonder if that has the AOC clutch doing some amount of constant activity that might be detrimental to the life of the pump/coupler.

      Looks cool, that's for sure.

What is your tire choice? Curious because I know that larger rear tires can sometimes be different diameters than the fronts and this can cause AWD wear since the clutch pack in the rear will be slipping to accomodate the difference in rotating speeds.

Otherwise if you used the same tire just stretched in the rear i dont see an issue.

I think the X5 ran a 245 front and 275 rear for that staggered stance. Those two appear to be pretty close in terms of diameter.

I have Pirelli Scorpions in 245/50R20 front and 275/45R20 rear.

Should not be enough of a difference to adversely affect the system, especially when you consider manufacturing tolerance variations. If I had used the same tire and stretched it over the rear rims, I'd have more of a difference as that would have decreased the effective OD due to the angle of the sidewall. It took some time to find the tire sizes that would work for this set up.

Well, Friday was a sad day. I was loading a car onto a uhaul trailer for transport, and the receiver popped off. Took out my whole tailgate, but thankfully left the lift gate alone. Uhaul is paying for the replacement gate, but it still makes me cringe.

Oh no. If uhaul is paying for it, I'm getting a new one that'll be paint matched to mine (or as close as possible with the red being so hard to copy). Priced out at $1200-$1400 depending on paint time. Not a cheap oops for them.

This weekend I fell more in love with Volvo and even more in love with my XC90

A buddy of mine and I drove down to LA to pick up a E12 5 Series. We took his 2015 V60 T6 R-Design instead of my XC90 because we didn't think we would have to tow the E12... long story short, we needed to anyway, but I'm glad we didn't take my car because we were rear-ended by a brand new Camaro on the 405. lovely. Our V60 faired well, it's going to need a new bumper and diffuser, No damage to taillights or tailgate because the nose of the Camaro had dipped during braking. Pulled over, exchanged info, etc. etc. and went on our way. (pics unnecessary because the hit wasn't that bad)

My buddy purchased the E12 and rented a U-Haul truck and trailer and set off with the Bimmer in tow leaving me behind the wheel of the V60 for the rest of the day

That is one fun car to drive! The acceleration is awesome and it corners really flat. The visibility is good all around and the seats are as incredible as all Volvo seats are. It too has the TF80-SC, but in this car it's a bit slow and can be dim-witted at times and doesn't downshift too eagerly (which isn't a big issue because the 6 cylinder pulls HARD). The highway ride was comfortable but around town the RD suspension with 19" rims on this car were harsh and uncomfortable. 25 mpg highway isn't that impressive though, and that dropped to 20 mpg avg after my detour through the twisties in a mountain pass

Don't get me wrong, the V60 is a fantastic car but after a full day of driving it, I was really glad to be back in my XC90. If I was in the market for a sedan or wagon I would certainly buy the Volvo S60/V60, but I'm not becasue I don't want a sporty car, I don't like being low to the ground, and I don't like the feeling of vulnerability I get in a small car. In summary, I am very happy in my tank.

Makes me happy when i read reviews like these because it assures me that I have not gone CRAZY just yet.

My crave for these machines has lead me on the path of owning 3 of them all V8 and a V50 RD Wagon.

Best $8 I've spent in a long while. Covered up to $20k in damage to my vehicle. And their equipment failed so it was a given that they would cover it.

Wow, you may have just swayed me on those insurances... I NEVER take them, but that was DEFINITELY $8 well spent.

Yeah that was the first question they asked. "Did you take out any insurance on it? If not, we're not liable." A**holes. The insurance company is awesome though, I already have an estimate working for repair from 2 different companies, should hear by tomorrow.

I got the quad exhaust skid plate from Volvo!

Will run stock exhaust on the left side and straight pipe with a valve on the right side for both sounds! Best of both worlds!

What is the p/n you ordered this under? The one on the label does not come up ...

Which exhaust tips are you planning on using?

Do you have a Volvo trailer hitch? You'll have to trim this panel. Non OE hitches will mount with receiver below the panel ...

IMO, this rear valence panel works best aesthetically with the Volvo quad tips:

Slightly oval not quite as elliptical as the true AMG tips but they fit perfectly in there!

Attempted and failed to address this really annoying front left suspension rattle. Was really hoping to find a loose nut somewhere or something. Nope. Considered replacing the end link, just because, but my 18mm deep impact socket wouldn't fit (and apparently my box wrench set ends at 17mm). So I wrote that idea off. That said, the end links were done 12k miles ago and they were rock solid. When I stood next to the front left wheel, I could rock the corner of the car and recreate the sound. I also considered spring seats, but they are only 17k old and there was no movement to be had at the top. What I did find is that the strut on that corner is/has leaking/leaked. I also found that I could get some play in the wheel if I push/pulled in the 9-3 direction. This got me looking at the tie rod ends. When I grab the outer tie rod, I am able to rotate the arm up and down to a point where it "clunks" to a hard stop. Is this normal? If not, have I likely found the culprit?

In a desperate attempt not to have completely wasted the time, I rotated the tires and cleaned the wheels. Woo...

Had some fun testing out my dad's new toy! Brand new 20', 14k pound, tilt bed trailer. Just driving the car on and off, but it was pretty neat!

I installed the Volvo OEM AUX Light Kit. Wanted to try it out so I hooked up some old LED work lights I had to see how it will look. Next up I'm getting 9" dual LED spot lights with 225w combined output. 45w per light 3w LEDs should put out around 10k lumens per side.

That kit is pretty neat especially with the integrated switch. It remembers the position so every time you pull the high beam it turns them on. They can also be disabled if the switch is turned off while the lights are on.

Here are some pics. Install took about 30min.
