The FB group is actually much more active than here now. The activity on here died down a while back. The FB group is up over 160 members with a whole bunch of posts every single day. There are a lot of people from here but some that aren't from here as well. More international guys over there than here.

FB must have changed the location for their article, here's the new one: https://www.facebook.com/help/www/936247526442073

It basically explains how you can check your messages for messages that aren't sent by friends, as they go into a special hidden location.

Thanks. I'm familiar with the procedures for checking for messages.

So... how long do I (and the other 90+ people) have to wait before I am admitted to the Polestar Owners group on Facebook?

I think it was 2 days when my wife joined. But it took her a day or so to find the message. It's a good group.

I've now messaged you on FB. I have 108 outstanding requests of people who hadn't responded to me. I somehow missed responding to yours, because I had written everyone above you and below you. I'm sorry I missed you. That said, you wait as long as long as it takes for me to write you and for you to respond.

Today I made my first post on their FB page. It seems that the 90-series optimization members are few and far between. And, I am getting a bit jealous over all of the 60-series polestar bits and pieces people are adding to their rides.

Thats because the 90 series is just the Polestar Optimisation. It has nothing to do with the actual Polestar Engineered cars.

The difference being, you paid a couple grand for the Polestar tune which they install via the OBD port to the cars computer.
The Polestar Engineered cars take a normal 60 series, ship it down the road to Polestar who get rid of the engine and put in their own engine with a bunch of changes. Then they rip out the suspension and put in custom Ohlin dampers. They rip off the brakes and put a big set of 6 piston calipers on the front. The pull off the exhaust and put a big 3" system on there. Add different wheels, custom trimmed seats and pedals. Then they reprogram the whole car to add different transmission tuning and calibration to the AWD system.

These aren't bits and pieces added to their rides. These are fully built cars that the Polestar brand supplies for sale.

Well, the FB group is JUST for "Volvo Polestar Optimized Owners" not "Volvo S60/V60 Polestar Owners." And just to be clear, the Polestar Optimization on my new car, was put on before I bought it, with a listed MSRP of USD 1,290. And, the bits and pieces I referred to are those added to the Polestar Optimized cars, not Polestar Engineered cars. Kinda like adding AMG branded stuff to non-AMG Mercedes.

I think there are two Facebook groups. One is for Polestar Optimized owners, one is for Polestar Owners.

Just like this section of the forum (and this thread in particular) which is for the Polestar Owners group.

Edit: BTW, not trying to be a dick (sorry if it comes across like that). Just trying to point out the difference as the whole Polestar thing gets confusing. This is from the first post on this thread

Ok, I consider myself too sensitive, and a rookie Volvo owner. I understood the difference between Optimized and Engineered, prior to your post explaining the yanking and replacing.

When I went to FB, I only fixated on the Optimization Owner site, completely missing the S/V60 Polestar owner one. That led to me making the uncalled-for snarky reply. I was the dick.

In the future, I will be slower to jump to conclusions, and even more careful to avoid being snarky or pissy.

      Cheers mate!
