      T5 engine swap into a p1800

I am currently restoring a 1969 volvo p1800 and have concidered doing a motor and tranny swap, preferrebly a T5 out of an S60. The only thing is; I've never heard of this being done but, I know it can be acomplished.I would appreciate any ideas or info concerning this crazy idea.

      Crazy, indeed!

Look at all the Volvo engine conversion projects for sale world-wide. A heavy V8 in a 740, a Capri V6 in a P1800...

Just bolt in a B20 engine (bored to 2200cc, big valves and a street cam) with a properly jetted Weber carb, M410 trans/od from a 164 and all the aftermarket handling goodies (ac, too!) then enjoy the car.
