As you AWD guys know, our options for struts are severely limited. In fact, there are essentially zero aftermarket struts for the rears. It's basically coilovers or OEM.
However I have the opportunity (until tomorrow) to purchase a brand new Heico kit for $1500. KW V1s can be had for another $300 (not that it matters, because I'm not spending that much).
From Tasca Parts, it looks like the OEM shocks and springs go for a little under a grand. Non-KW coilovers can be had for about the same.
What are the thoughts on the Heico kit (Bilstein B8s + 30mm lowering springs)? Worth a 50% premium over OEM or BC/PB/ISC coilovers?
Personally I'm leaning towards picking up the Heico kit. I'm not impressed w/ the OEM dynamic suspension (though I've only driven on it w/ 90k+ miles) and don't want to risk poor ride quality w/ the coilovers.
