Once I got a car tinted I could never go back. First thing I do with any new car. Got 5% on my black V70. Backing up is a little sketchy but I love that no one can see my stuff in the back even in full sun.

Super bright LED reverse lights help counteract the tint for backing up too. I put these in both my cars: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00NPIN8FI/

Good idea. I've never dabbled in led bulbs before. I still have to convince myself that taking her out in the rain is oooooookayyyyyy .

Just doing reverse lights with LEDs is very safe since reverse is on its own circuit. Absolutely zero issues. Plus they run cooler and pull fewer watts than incandescent.

I've had some weirder behaviour with using those bulbs as brake lights - the bulb out indicator gets tripped on the dashboard when I'm not braking, and goes off when I hit the brakes.

My dad has LED reverse lights in the '99 and I like them. I'll probably convert the 850s to them eventually, too.

The only issue we've experienced is that they cause interference with the radio. That could just be the particular bulbs we have.

Finally got around to installing the beautiful wheel I got from Jim. Hand soap and water and a paper towel took it to perfect.

Any idea what would make the pleather on the wheel last the longest over time? I haven't decided what to put on it.

I picked up front and rear IPD sways from a local fella with hardware. They are the gen just behind the current ones - black, not powder coated blue, but same dia as the current street spec versions and exactly the same beefy mounts on the rear as the current revision.

Used up one genuine Mr. Clean eraser and water on the LF door panel. Wow. 30 minutes got it to perfect with a little extra love. The bottom section was covered in shoe marks. Key is to rub hard in one direction only and with a microfiber cloth wipe clean and dry as you go.

Any recommendations for tire pressure for my wagon's soon-to-be new rubber given minimal cargo, 1-2 persons, a mix of local/highway, and less than 10K mi per year?

I just purchased these tires. My existing overall dia with the 225 is 24.5 inches; this one is 0.1 inches taller. The section width is an increase of 0.1 inches over what I have. Hopefully I made a wise choice between the four rubbers I was looking at and won't have too much rubbing. This one's feedback is high from the general population. I got a good deal from my local tire chain with their package deal, only $44 more than tire rack given shipping and everything. It's the most expensive tire in the group, but not by much. They'll be here mid next week so I will have them fitted in a week's time.

      36 psi front and rear.

      edit:

just saw you got DWS 06.

Theyre really soft, so adjust pressure as necessary to get the ride you want.

I run the same tire on our 2000 V70R.
I prefer 33-34 for normal driving and 35-37 for "spirited" driving
The ride is better on our rough roads at 33 ish lbs.

This seller produces these three parts. Any experience out there? Looks really close if not perfect to 3960 beige. Comes in vinyl or leather for the armrest. This is the leather. The shift and brake boots look nice, too. His work looks good. $65 for all three. A local upholsterer can't beat this.

I keep hearing there is some other place in Europe that is better than redline and much faster.

I'm not an audio electrical guru so what are the terminal sizes needed to connect the Dolby speaker to the 901 deck? Ref photo here. Would like to avoid soldering directly into the end points.

The EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 tires...they turn in very quickly, no feedback though the steering wheel, and no rubbing at full lock. Love.

Very kind. Save your money, but get something you love and hang onto it. I sure miss many of the vehicles I let go too soon, and several I should never have sold...I get so many projects it's like Sanford and Son around here as I get bored and board something else.

      Help please...any advice?

I do not have an amp in my wagon.
Is the connector/cable maybe under the center console? I don't see it behind the radio? Or do I need to source that?
And where does the cable come out to attach to the amp? I can see where it mounts. And to be clear, the cable in the photo under the seat is for the seat motors.

      Ref photos from the web:

It would be better to see what you have and what you still need
The harness is fairly large with a bunch of cables and ends
It goes from under the passenger seat where the amp sits to up and under the right side of the console to the radio.
The Dolby processor mounts next to the radio (if you're changing the dash to a center speaker dash)

You will need to source the wiring harness. There is a breakaway section in the carpet where it goes through.
