      2013 S60 R-Design Rebel Blue Introduction

Just picked up one of my Volvo dream cars, basically a baby Polestar. 2013 S60 R-Design in Rebel Blue with a lot of features. It is the Platinum package and includes the Technology Package, Climate Package, and some cool standalone options from the factory like heated rear seats, BLIS, front and rear park assist, and a remote start.

I plan on adding some accessories here and there but keeping it pretty much stock. I have bought the rear Polestar badge, all 4 mudflaps, the side and rear window sunshades, and a cargo tray. I may add some of the Polestar Performance products in the near future. If anyone has any Polestar accessories for sale, please let me know!

Very nice, and welcome. So was Roxy a lease return, any history on the options as I don't think all of those were offered?

Great looking car, I really wanted a rebel blue R-Design but there were none around me. Went with a passion red one.

I picked up these Polestar License plate frames from sweetgfx.com, here's how they look on my car (I got them on the front and back) http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?p=4279753

Yup, a lease return. 1 owner with no accidents. Came out of New Jersey.

Surprisingly I found the window sticker in the owners manual set and it itemizes out the Platinum, Tech, and Climate packages. Then it lists the rear heated seats, BLIS, front and rear park assist, and the remote start as extras. MSRP was $52,644!

Congrats on finding one in Rebel Blue. That color is now only available on the Polestar models.

I'm curious, what Polestar badge did you buy?

He probably just got the one that was supposed to be affixed by the original dealer or at the port. May RD cars don't have the blue square Polestar badge on the back of the car.

      Congrats to OP and enjoy!

Correct, I've seen some with the badge and some without. My car does have the Polestar Premium Fuel sticker inside though

PS the badge is not cheap haha. I work at a dealership and I got it at cost which was still $65, retail is over $100!!

I wrote Polestar and they sent me one for free along with the mounting kit.

Shouldn't have to pay for a badge. Just register the car on Polestar's site and they'll send you one.

So some quick updates on my car: been absolutely loving it! It is a blast to drive, super comfortable, and has all the modern tech and safety features I've been wanting.

Been adding some OEM accessories here and there. So far: the sunglasses case that replaces the oh **** handle, the rear window and back window sunshades, all 4 mudflaps, winter rubber mats with tunnel cover mat, cargo tray. I also sprung for the OEM carbon fiber mirror caps which I should be getting this week.

Registered the car on Polestar's site and only received a 2 page booklet that just has my VIN and a confirmation of the Polestar Optimization. Therefore, still on the hunt for the correct badge for the back of the car

      Pics to come!

Send them a direct email with your VIN. You definitely should not have to pay for one. I got one for free after my original one fell off after a car wash.

Turns out this is what I was looking for: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vol...-volvo-8640137

Went through my parts department at the dealer and my cost was $6.50. Can't beat that!

Hey ckmack: Look into getting a rear anti-sway bar from IPD. I added one to my '16 T5 R-Design and for handling made a HUGE difference.

Bought some of the blue-stitched Polestar floor mats today, does anyone know if the blue stitched shift boot would fit a MY13? I've heard the shift knob doesn't but maybe the boot will?

Since you have a 2013MY with the lighted shift knob, the Polestar lighted shift knob should fit (it has the same circuit board connector) and yes the shift boot should fit no problem.

I hate the factory mats in my Polestar. They seem very cheap for a car in this price range.

Bought a little xmas present for myself today, some new 19" Polestar wheels that will now be my dedicated summers. Anyone have an idea of the correct size Michelin Pilot Super Sport to go with these? Or anyone with first hand experience with this setup?

Nice but pricey rims, did you get a deal? The recommended tire spec on those is 235/40-19, but you could go 245/40-19 for a tad more sidewall cushion and tread width.

Thank you for the info! Yeah they are definitely pricey, got them at "cost" at my dealership (also my work) so they were like $350 each

Quick little update, haven't done too much to the S60 in the last couple months. I did manage to get the Polestar shift boot (thanks ViVa) installed with no issues:

Installed these OEM lighted sill plates which look great:

Unfortunately I got backed into the other day in a driveway in the city. Nothing too extensive but some paint was removed:

And the after picture, I had it fixed by a local detailer. Came out pretty good considering and only cost $50:

Nothing else really planned. I will probably be putting on the 19" Polestar wheels around the start of April. I will be wrapping them in some new Michelins. I did an LED swap for interior and exterior lights which I made another thread about elsewhere, those still look great. I would like to accomplish a full compound, polish, and wax. Especially because I am planning on bringing this car to Carlisle in May

Where did you get the illuminated door sills? Those look amazing. I can't wait to see your car with the wheels installed!

They're an OEM accessory, as seen here: http://accessories.volvocars.com/en-...CC-492017/2017

Very easy to install. I just had to get under the existing sills with a bone tool, clean up the existing area from dirt and grime, and then stick the new ones in their place. They run on watch batteries basically and are magnetically operated. You stick a magnet under the door and when the seal breaks (like opening the door), they illuminate.

My cost at the dealership was a little over $200. They are supplied in pairs
