On popular demand, here is the Wagon Photo Challenge Thread. Basically someone challenges a named person, or the public in general, points awarded for accepting and fulfilling challenges. Points can be exchanged for kudos, applause or Norwegian street cred. Only universal criteria is for the challenge or response to be wagon related (yes, A4Avant, you may post your nazitrolley here too).

You guys need to participate to keep it alive. It's like a presidential election, if you don't vote, the wrong candidate might be elected. Or the right one. Not going deeper into politics here.

As per most threads the OP creates the first challege, then whom ever complete said challege makes the next challege and so on

Don't lay this on me, have you any idea how frustrating it was compiling all those quotes on my phone? I've paid my dues.

But alright, general challenge. Get your wagon to a place, on a surface or in a general area you really shouldn't bring it. Airport runways are an immediate win, same goes for two foot deep mudholes.

Airports are tough one here but I'm sure someone can get their car out there.....and my cars are too low for mud holes 😔

If noone responds you're welcome to suggest challenges. I might have gone off a little to roughly.

We can make it a 24hr challenge, if not completed a new one can be put in place.

Mine's on the side street because we can only fit two cars off the alley behind the house. To me, it's where it shouldn't be. I don't think that qualifies, but...
The r should win a seat, but I'm not going to make my cute wife or 17 year old daughter walk in the dark, down the alley.

Well, It's sunday, and I'm all out of creativity. 24hr limit sounds fair, most of you guys are on the same (ish) timezone, right?

I think I have an idea......

Lemme go eat some breakfast and see if I can hook up the heater core in my 850R and then I will have an excuse to take it out for a drive.

We are heavily eastern seaboard with a dash of Midwest and far west thrown in. We've got all the time zones at least nodded at.

Sailor moon's face printed out and attached to the driver seat of ScottishBrick's pewter wagon...

Suggestion... make it Eastern time based. Everyone in Europe is ahead a few, everyone else behind a few (not that I'm biased at all)

I don't think the rules ie time limit should be that strict...makes for fun. After all it is for fun.

      Dammit, you beat me!

You gotta post up a new challenge now....unless mini-wagon doesn't count.

I'm tempted to let jppetersonatl win this one, just to get it rolling, but JaredR seemed to have a line on something.

The time zones are irrelevant, really. The time stamp on this post says 05:23 PM, whereas yours probably say 10.23AM or whatnot. 24hrs from when the challenge was posted, location irellevant.

I actually think I have a shot at pulling off the runway shot but it would be like a half hour drive and I'm not sure I have the time for that today.....so I'm aiming a bit lower.

Ditto. It's also frowned upon to go onto an active runway. Ramp maybe. Runway is a mistake. They'll call the cops... source: I fly airplanes.

Well, keywords were places you really shouldn't bring it - active runways fullfill the criteria, abandoned runways not so much.

I was thinking if there were any near me that had shut down. I think there's a small one. 24 hours is too tight, and if there were no planes it would be a giveaway. I was also remembering a bridge flyover that has never been finished. Too far of a drive.

You know what, I'll add something to the challenge. In addition to criteria as described above, get a shot of your wagon (no, not a miniature) and an airplane in the same shot.

Damn! Raising the bar already. I guess a shot off you car outside with McDonald's sign is too easy.

Remember thats adding to the criteria already described - a place it shouldn't be, or with a plane.

Cmon people, be creative here. Loads of places a wagon shoudln't be. The crusher, impound, and so on.

The place with the runway that I had in mind was the old Weymouth Naval Air Station. It's being converted into a development so not active. Didn't have time to go there, so I instead present you with a picture of it illegally parked on the beach!

This is challenging. The Georgia Piedmont Nautic Blue Society is currently researching areas in the area where we can photograph our wagons.
