I did it with a razor blade. Just cut off the emblems from directly behind leaving the adhesive foam on the car. You can peel and buff it without any scratching if you do it right.
can I debadge my car on ,y own, is there a way tpp do it, so it looks normal, I mean no paint coming off or whatvere? or do I have to take it to a garage?

Heat the badge with a hairdryer so it gets warm. Not to warm..
Saw it of with piece of fishing line.
Take away the residues with some alcohol or simular.

Take away the residues with some alcohol or simular.Yup, works like a charm... Haven't done the S60 (Debating it) but have done many cars with fishing line (Floss works too) and some goo gone or the like to take off the glue.
Or if its warm out and car is fairly new,use a flat plastic squeegy and they pop right off, usuaaly still a little residue but cleans off easily with wax and tar remover. All this can be found at any auto store.
1) Buy some Goo-gone http://www.googone.com/products_gg.shtml
2) Use Hair Dryer to warm up the adhesive
3) Use fishing line and slowly work behind the emblem separating it from the body surface (Patience is a virtue)
4) Use Goo-Gone per directions on bottle to remove adhesive (Patience is still a virtue)
5) Wax the affected area (Why not just do the whole car at this point)
Not sure about Volvo's, but on most cars, the Manufacturer name/logo is attached through the body with some type of fastener, so unless you are prepared to fill body holes, leave the VOLVO in the center of the trunk lid alone.
Post some pics when you do it!

Just park it on my street over night. If you're lucky, they might just de-wheel your car too!!!
I'm curious ....Why would you want to do that?

The car is not a Volvo, it's my bro's scooby (Impreza WRX), he wants to take the dealer's badge off (it looks disgusting!), and didn't know how to do it, we're away from the car now, will do it round october time when we get back.. thnx for the help guys..

Don't use the goo gone stuff it can cause problems from what I heard. Using the dental floss works great on a warm day or with heat from a small hair dryer. If there is any glue left you can rub it off with your fingers. Have your brother do a search on NASIOC.com
What have you heard about Goo Gone? I have used it for years for removing adhesive on auto finishes, and never had a problem if you wax imeediately following to ensure the clear coat protection.
Goo Gone is good stuff, but on the car?If anything, you should use the 3M brand product they make specifically for safely removing adhesives off car bodies.
I hate dealer stickers!! That is always the first thing i do when i get home is take their crap off my car.
I actually demand it taken off by them (liability), or they need to pay me for owning/operating a rolling billboard by way of a further discount on the vehicle.
