Yeah that could be, but I'm not sure if the reflectors match. There is definitely a DOT reflector behind the DOT lens. I can't tell for sure on the E-code side.

That's 214 Dark Gray Metallic. 455 Titanium Gray Pearl didn't come out until 2003.
It does look nice, though. I'm not into those seat covers at all but I've never seen covers that fit that well before.

And a flash green S60R Manual. Just over 100K, $9500, looks sharp but also definitely looks used. Overpriced I think

It's going to need a new head......or just sap the whole engine.

Yeah, it's plain to see why it's being pushed at such a low price. I think it has more wrong with it than what it's advertised as.

Non-Affiliated Finds and Craigslist Cars - March 2017

Question I thought of during my accounting lecture today:
How much of a collector's appeal is there for Polestar V/S60's in the long term?

Will they be like P2R's and slowly over ~7 years drop closer to their non R models' prices? Or will the smaller production numbers and collectors appeal cause the gap between a non Polestar V/60 to be much higher than the P2Rs' gap is/was?

I'm talking just your average decent shape, like 80-110k miles car not a mint example.

Hope you can follow that lol

3k odd VRs in existence in America. About half are MT. If P* production continues I doubt that they'll have huge collectibility as there's no limit to theoretical production.

Volvo is limiting production. They built 750 for MY 2015 and 2016 and are building 1,500 for MY 2017. That's 3k Polestars (sedans and estates combined!) worldwide, and that's probably it because we'll have the SPA V60 next year. This means that Volvo will build a little less than half as many P3 Polestars as they built 850 T-5Rs. I think all of them being automatic isn't good if we're comparing the collectors market against the P2s, but you really can't get much of anything that's manual and any good in the states anymore, so maybe that's not as big a problem as it was with the 850R/T-5R.

Anyway, I do think the gap will be bigger between the Polestar and the regular P3 S/V60. I'd say we'll probably see nice ones bottom out at around $10-14k (or whatever that works out to be when we adjust it for inflation).

Love it. Clearcoat fail on hood, whited-out black plastic, parched seats and a missing console cover - and an engine that's had a whole bottle of ArmorAll dumped on it.
And I'd buy it in a heartbeat for a DD.
Love it how, as he has fixed things on it, the price goes down. You could probably drive it off the lot for a grand.
It is located in Roy, a little town about 50 miles south of Seattle.
Buy the car and dine at the Y! (get your mind out of the gutter, there's only room for one of us... The 'Roy Y' is a landmark highway intersection )

LOL. I think the car could dine at the Y, too! Maybe some new corner lights for an appetizer, followed my a main course of console lid and tail lights, and glovebox door for desert?

that would still be an overpay imo. What did that guy in Racine want? Like $2k iirc? With titans? I'd put it at about $500. Honestly it might not even be worth that depending on what the rust situation looks like on the bottom.

Eh, around here $1000 is more or less the price floor for a running, driving, titled and tagged car. Less elsewhere I suppose.

Since production was limited much more than with the P2R there will always be some level of scarcity. There were 120 cars in '15.5 and 264 in '16 (last year for the six cylinder) and probably less than that in '17 just based on what I still see for sale though I really don't know. There are not many new members over on the P* threads that own '17's - maybe 5. Of the 384 '15.5 and '16 cars several are already out of service due to wrecks. My opinion is that the value gap will be greater just due to how few cars there are.

I'm more concerned that the guy didn't even bother to not make it look like it's been used purely for hotboxing in a field somewhere. For three thousand of my hard earned dollars, something good better be hiding in that glove box.

      I've heard we're getting about 200 MY 2017s.

It does seem that we've seen a lot of wrecked Polestars on here considering how rare they are. Why might this be? Rich dudes with more dollars than sense buying them because they're going to be high performance and cool? I remember seeing someone publish some stats on here not long ago about XC90 crashes and found that V8 owners were much more likely to be involved in a crash than any other version of XC90. How does the old saying go? Power goes to your head? I wonder if we're seeing that problem here, too. It should make for a nice crop of terrible CL ads for the best of thread in a couple years when these guys need something new to keep their ego in shape if there is anything to this hypothesis.

It's much cheaper in the south. We let anything on the roads.
