      Check valve pcv s40 t5 +video

      Hi,

Im having problems with my boost that its not constant. Between 5-7psi every gear. After a long highway drive ~8.5psi. The car did 155km, I repalced the tcv and it didnt help. No codes.
I found a topic about the check valve that after a while stops working well. I decided to check its location in the engine bay and noticed that the hose that conects to it a litlle loose, see attached video. Is that supposed to be like this?

That's normal. The small metal tube is retained by an internal snap ring of sorts & sealed with an o-ring. Not sure why they don't sell the replacement as an assembly. Here's the easiest way to get it apart. Just replace the thing for piece of mind.

Like pictured. Cut the old valve apart. You can try to use some beer can metal to slip down & release the ring but that usually only results in frustration & cut hands.
