      Acessories

Does anyone have recent experience with getting accessories at the factory vs ordering them? Price and availability.

The last time I was there they had a really nice boutique for Volvo accessories .

Just like outlet shopping you have to know the going rate to determine if the prices are good or not. On our OSD in Nov 11 I had planned on buying a few things but when I got there the prices were higher than what I could buy here with the shipping added. So I just ordered everything I wanted when I got back and they were waiting for the car when it arrived. Some items like mud flaps and anything affixed to the car might be worth it if your not interested in doing it yourself. I think there are factory accessory guides with pricing floating around the internet somewhere.

Thanks. Been to almost all of them I think. I am told that there is a new list coming out for the 2018 YM. Using this info in my own internal debate about whether to go osd or dealer delivery. I see you have a Denim Blue. Could you send me a pic of it? That is one of our color choices. How has it been to care for?

FWIW, I wouldn't let something like comparative prices on accessories become a deal maker or deal breaker for OSD. It's difficult to place a price on the value of the whole OSD experience.

Been there done that. Just seeing if I can squeeze enough out of OSD to pay the tax bill on the car...

Mountain Man-don't have Denim Blue yet, it's what we currently want on the XC60 for OSD. Also contemplating Osmium Grey. But our 12 XC60 in Caspian Blue has been easy to keep clean. Also had great luck with Barrents Blue, which has been my all time favorite. Not matter what you end up with this the new XC 60 is going to be great.

Thanks Comp1. Realized after I wrote it that you didn't have it yet. Think we have settled on Osmium Gray. Went by Friendship in Bristol yesterday and they had an XC90 in it. The color really sets off the body style.

Osmium Grey is a very classy color, I like it a lot, but we're Blue car people so Blue it's gonna be, although we just switched to amber seats with Lime wood. Will you be doing an OSD. We can make it a Tennessee day at the factory!

Doesn't look like it at this time. Be in Jamaica most of Nov and have other plans for Sept. Do not want to deal with the winter over there and need the car soonest. Thanks for the offer though.
