Thanks Kelly for organizing this, and thanks Heico for the tickets. It was a blast. It was nice meeting you guys. I Hope to make it to the Ring GTG this spring.

"R" Kelly will have more pics soon.

Remove the goofy graphics and that RS4 is HOT!

  3. 12-03-2005 02:53 PM #3
Yeah....It's a prototype Heico is working on. Has an R engine. Is supposed to be 350hp. They wouldn't give us a peek under the hood. Said it was still under construction. The 20" Volutions looked pretty sweet on it.

That's actually an S40 believe it or not. Pretty interesting take I must say.

I love the RS4 every since I got a glimps of it in Munich.

I can get a comfortable with this view.

Thanks to Jeff from Heico Sportiv NA and Patrick from Heico Sportiv for sending 8 of us R owners to the Essen motor show (sort of like SEMA). Have to say as big as Frankfurt, but with a different focus, more on tuners and aftermarket.

We saw the Heico HS4 Odin and an XC90 kit. The Odin with an R engine and 350 horsepower should be really quick. Patrick said that because they are building the car an "original" creation, they have to program an ECU from scratch. At any rate, he mentioned the light weight goal of the car, 1200 kgs (2640lbs). With 350 hp, should be very quick, but since it is a FWD, I see torque steer problems, and not it not being considered in the same league as RWD M3 or AWD S4.

But the car looked great and hats off to Heico for doing something like this.

    Let's take a look underneath

    No, look closer...

    And a look inside:

For you XC90 owners who want a little more bling...

And of course there was more than just Heico...

    Great Red on this BMW

    One of my wifes favorites..

A company called Mansory, that modifies Astons and Bentleys...

Obviously MB doesn't know how to make a V-12, because it needs twin turbos..

I have never seen these Ferarris before...60's, 70's

    Old BMW

One of my favorites, a Jetsonmobile

Better picture of the Enzo this time than when I flew past one on the Autobahn.

Because the Bangle 5-series wasn't ugly enough..

I would like to drive this, an M5 motor squeezed into a 3 series...

    New S4 Cabrio

V-10 from S8 (didn't know they were making these)

Just awesome...this color so works on this car.

    Jewel encrusted wheel...

Sometimes you want your wheels to match your luggage...

    Or your dash...

Never seen a 30" wheel before...not sure what you would put it on...

Perhaps a Hummer H2? This one only has 28" Wheels...

I don't know what to say about this CLS...

What do you call this gullwing door? A hatch?

Not normally a fan of orange rims, but these worked on this car...

My favorite car from the show, the car was just amazing (I would never own this color or this car, but it was gorgeous).

I really, really like this rim, think it would look great on my car...

These OZ Superturismos look even better in person, fit perfectly on the R, 4 lbs lighter than Pegs and are $269 each. Johann is using them as winter wheels.

Undecided on Euro civic front end, cool I guess...need to see one at night.

    Beautiful tail...

    Not so beautiful tail...

New Cayman, makes 911 obsolete IMO.

New Miata (oops, sorry, MX-5, they retired Miata name).

    Corvette "Moray"

Anyways, lots of fun, thanks for everyone that came out and to Heico.

No kidding, the ONLY place we saw anything for Volvo's was at the Heico stand, and the convention center had 12 different exhibition halls.

It was a great time. I wish they would have had more Volvo tuners, but one is better than none. Gotta love the jewel encrusted wheel

Was there a price mentioned for the blue Heico?

  14. 12-04-2005 08:34 AM #15
No....... It is a looong way from being complete. It's a ground up project.

Great pics guys. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the pics guys. LA Auto show is a month away...I can't wait.

"R"Kelly. Those OZ's look very sharp, but judging by your photo, they look like they'll have some scatching issues like the pegs.
