      Check Engine code PO193

As stated above, I need to know where I can find what this code means. Last thing i need is to go in and them tell new its b/c my down pipe or something.

I did the search as "PO193" "code PO193" "code P" nothing!

Re: Check Engine code PO193 (ilalocal1922)

      hmmmm now that's a coincidence!

Yes, P0193 is Fuel Pressure Sensor Signal Value High (or some such verbiage). It means the ECM picked up the signal from the fuel rail pressure sensor as being at its highest possible voltage (or near) – which it shouldn’t under normal conditions (allows the ECM to diagnose a bad sensor).

I was driving along last week and had my check engine light pop on - had the same code. Dealer did a reset of the car because there were like 6 codes in other systems (*&^%! Why won't they just listen to me when I say ignore the others and deal with the only one that turned on the CEL). At any rate, the CEL was back on the same evening with the same code (no other codes in any systems - go figure) so it's going back Tuesday to have them look at it again. I'm sure it's just the pressure sensor that needs to be replaced (or possibly the bypass valve in the pump).

I have a '04 S60R with just over 50K miles on it...what mileage are you at?

Re: Check Engine code PO193 (we R obsessed)

04 with 26,000 and the light comes and goes. It seems to comes on when I drive for more than 30 min at 65-80mph, i will make a app. with the devil this coming week.
