I dunno if anyone mentioned this, but supposedly the GT torque is limited for 1st and 2nd gears, then upped to the full 295 ft/lb in 3rd, 4th, and 5th. This was because of the compact size of the transmission -- when run with the full torque it would grenade in 1st and 2nd...

So the GT isn't that bad after all...
