Hi. My car has had code P1332 for a while. I have been running it on synthetic for the last 10k miles in hopes that it was a lubrication issue that would resolve itself.
Now I also have code P0013. Maybe I just have something wrong with the VVT solenoid wiring? It looked a little crimped when I removed the cover over the coil packs.
You can try removing the solenoid and cleaning it out with Brakleen then re-attach (get a new gasket!). Could be sludged up beyond help though. Worth a shot before you buy a new one.
Update. It has been a while, but I finally replaced the VVT solenoid with a new one from the dealership. Worked fine for about 80 miles but today threw the code 1655.
what is the code 1655??? still cvvt type code??? if it is posible timing issue like the t-belt jumped a tooth or the cvvt hub is sludged up.. or u pinched the wire under the spark plug cover...
From VIDA:
P1655 = ECM-6440 - Camshaft reset valve Signal too low.
Check resistance of the valve, expect 3.7ohms cold.
like others said check the wiring really good going to the valve under the cover.
One wire is 12V whenever the key is on, the other wire goes back to the ECM.
I was able to solve P1655 by replacing the connector to the new VVT assembly. Actually removing it and connecting directly to the pins. I read on another site that the connection that comes in the kit from dealership can be defective.
In my case as well, this appears to have solved the problem. I have been about 1000 miles with no CEL.
glad you got things fixed, thanks for posting the fix.
