A thought for our next meeting is a Volvo car show at a local dealer. Volvo's from the 80's, 70's and 60's. 90's and newer - if rare.
Any thoughts?

Are any of these Pittsburgh-area Volvo dealers targeted for closure in the drawdown?
http://www.google.com/search?h...ctive
George Dill

I'm not getting a great response to this idea. If anyone else can think of a time / idea for our next meeting, please let me know.
Thanks.

Best to start small and not worry about making everybody happy.
Pick a date/time/place to do a Saturday after-lunch GTG and run with it.
Consider asking a Volvo dealer to allow use of their facility for a few hours.
Here are the PA dealers honoring the VCOA discount...
http://www.vcoa.org/theclub/discounts.php#pa
Just a simple meet-n-greet with a show-n-shine then head off to an early informal dinner and feel out folks for volunteers to do a big Chapter Meet say April 2009.
If not already, contact Trish at VCOA for a list of members in/near your ZIP. Most will have email and phone contact.
George Dill

I agree, it people aren't interested in the 'car show' just a get together for each of us to get to know the other members. I saw the pictures from the original meeting, some looked GREAT. I would be nice to see some of the before the disappear for the winter.....
