Hello all,
Got a couple of questions:
1) Is it possible to order the auto-dim mirror separately from the "convenience package" when doing an OSD?
2) Is the trunk spoiler part of the "sport package" or not? The downloadable brochure lists it as a separate accessory, but the website (I think) makes it sound like it is part of the package.
TIA.
Brendon

I heard at the drive event that the 2004.5 models will come with "packages" to simplify getting them into the dealerships. The 2005 models are supposed to offer more colors and seperate options.

Brendon,
According to my price guide the only way to get the auto dimming mirror is with the Convenience Package, as far as the spoiler goes, According to the documentation provided to us by Volvo, it is part of the Exterior Sport Styling Kit, Which will give you: Body Kit(Front Spoiler, Side Skirts, Rear lower spoiler, wing spolier)
I do not see a Stand Alone option for the rear spolier from Volvo.

There are 2 spoiler designs you can get from Volvo. One is included in the sport package as shown here.

Here is the other option:

Don't know if you can get the 2nd one in lieu of the one that comes with the sport package.
As I was told - Yes, you can order any option separately from the whole package while going through OSD. I'm not totally sure about dimming mirror, but I understand it falls into the definition of "any". I'm also thinking of OSD and am interested in auto-dimming rearview mirror, but dont want to buy a sunroof etc.
for professional and reputable answer you can ask Yannis in OSD forum, he is in OSD business

Anyone knows if I can buy the auto-dimming mirrors and replace them myself?
Does it need power to operate?
My local dealer is not keen to bring in the auto-dimming mirror.

I am not saying it cannot be done but it will be costly because of the software and electronics housed in it.
Yannis
