So apparently, Polestar is already looking into tuning both the Drive-E T6 model and the Drive-E D5 XC90s. Muahahaha!!!!'

What about the T8? I assume Polestar T6 would have more HP than the T8??

I linked a few days ago to an article elsewhere about a P* XC90. In that article it said (I think all these articles are more guessing than knowing factual information at this point) that the P* XC90 would fall in between the T6 and T8 with 360hp.

Volvo execs have stated power output will be between the T6 and the T8 engine, though I think the Polestar XC90 would be faster than the T8 due to the massive weight savings. It'll undoubtedly have better driving characteristics.

Thanks! I guess we'll have to wait and see :-)

Sweet. But now i wonder when it will be available and if you can simply just get a software update later on after buying the regular T6. Hmmmm...

Polestar also tunes the suspension, brakes, steering, and maybe some engine parts. Who knows.
Current V60/S60 T6 has a Polestar upgrade that adds about 20HP but it does not become a Polestar factory V60/S60. Maybe similar thing for XC90 T6, if any Polestar ECU software is available separately.

Hmm, I wouldn't want parts tuning anyways, but if a software update became available I'd consider it depending upon just how much it would cost for my First Edition.

Why not?

Why not?

No real reason, doesn't interest me.

No real reason, doesn't interest me.

The reason I asked is that Volvo's traditionally come with non-sporty suspensions. I've owned two Volvo's and had to put aftermarket sway bars (IPD) on them to make the drive more enjoyable. Tuning the suspension along with an ECU tune like Polestar will improve the driving experience and I would definitely want that in my vehicle. Of course, this is a personal choice, but I would definitely wait for the Polestar tune/suspension/brake version. It will be a much improved vehicle, without a doubt.

I wouldn't want the ride too harsh or lose the lushness that would probably come with the air suspension. The xc90 is more about comfort and less about being a x5m. I guess I will have to wait and see.
