More clear? You mean whiter and brighter light? They are not too expensive, depends on which source you get it from, pretty much which 'brand' you want. They can be as much as $550 or as cheap as high $300s.
The bulbs that are made in Korea are much cheaper...and the non-German ballasts are cheaper, too. They will perform at similar result, it's just the matter of longevity of the kit.
Let me know if you are serious about getting them, I can point you to the right places.

not just whiter/brighter.. real HID (high intensity Discharge) using Xenon light bulbs. if they are THAT expensive.. perhaps i am better off just getting some PIAA halogen lamps.. i was wondering if there really is that big of a difference. i know that BMW's have that Bi-Xenon thing... it lights up pretty far and is bright...
do you think the HID kit will be worth the money? how much brighter & legal can it be?
I don't think that BMWs have bi-xenons...perhaps they just added them to their late production 2002 models. Bi-xenon means xenon lights on both high and low beams. European models have had them as an option during this model year (Volvos too).

Well, yes..I do mean whiter and brighter AND REAL HID kit. I've been through pretty much most of the popular HID-wannabe bulbs out there, they just don't come close to the real thing. Worth it or not...really depends on what you think is worth it. In terms of legality, it depends on your State law.

Bi-xenons.. YES they are on BMW 3 series and perhaps 5 series. but for sure 3 series. they look awesome in my opinion. i just want some HID lights at a low cost.. didnt think it would cost me over 200 bucks WITHOUT installation either.
WHOA.. i checked the link of HID4Less.. ouch the stage2 HID's look awesome.. 6000k crazy.... but 700 price tag just for low beams? and then wwhat about high and fogs.. OUCH!! thats a pretty penny. and here i was thinking exhaust was a big thing i never thought lights would be so expensive. perhaps when i save some money up. btw.. for the Fogs, maybe i can cheap out and get some PIAA's, then only need to save up about 1400 for the High and Lows...
