Depends on what year your C70 is. If you have a 1998 then you need the Service Reset Light tool. If it is a 1999 or 2000 you must turn the ingition switch to position I. You should only have the SRS indicator light illuminated. While pressing the trip mileage reset button, turn the ignition switch to position II (you need BOTH hands to do this!). The service light will begin to flash in about 15 seconds or so and as soon as it does that RELEASE the reset button. Turn the ignition switch off and you should be set! No service light anymore!

Yhea, that sucks. Too bad we can't just rent this device somewhere. I guess I will just have to put up with seeing the light when I turn the car on. I will take it off when I have to go into the dealership for something else under warranty.
I think you can also if you have a palm pilot get a software and hook it up through the omd in the side arm compartment and do all what you want with the car and even transmission..The cost for everything should be also around 180 dollars.. but You have to be carefull its hooking up to the ecu and transmission computer too..
Do a search on Vivisimo.com for Volvo obd2 palm pilot software. It'll come up with quite a bit. The one company that I've been looking at and will end up buying once I get a couple extra bucks to do so, is http://www.ghg.net/dharrison/palm.htm ... It will also hook up with a Visor, which is what I have...unfortunately I haven't been able to find one that is specifically for Volvos.
My mechanic I think has is specifically for volvos and other cars. He is a volvo specialist and I think he would sell them too. or maybe if you have the equipment I can get you the software...
What would he seel it for? If you don't mind asking him. Must be nice to have a mechanic.
