Hi,
A VCOA buddy just put the C70 convertible support "v" shaped bar on his 850. I goes from rear of front suspension mount on body to center of body a foot or two back, then to other side in front. The bolts were needed too, as you replace existing bolts with longer ones. It appears the lowest bolt head of these longer ones drops clearance quite a bit. It fit the 850 just fine. He thinks it is stffer now, I bet so.
Take a look under the next C70 convertible you see, cant miss the part. It looks titanium, but don't know the actual metal used. Probably just painted steel.
Regards,
Carl
