Looking for seatbelt extender for 2nd row to make easier for child to buckle...

Saw a couple of old threads discussing this but the replies showed that none were available ?

Even now when I searched at on some of the websites, I got the ďIím sorry that model and year isnít supportedĒ message.

My gut is that there is a size or model that fits - maybe the old xc 90 extenders work. Anyone have any successes?

On a whim, I tried a 3 inch seat belt extender for a BMW and it worked fine.

Definitely easier for kids to buckle. Works great with Clek Olli booster (a great, latch-secured booster BTW)

I was also able to find an extender that works from VW. Itís an OE VW part, so it has to conform to some safety standards, which is why I felt I could trust it with my child over some others on the internet.

It fits only the outer seat positions as the center belt buckles are slightly different to keep from buckling the outer belt into the center buckle.

Have yet to try it in the 3rd row.

VW part number:

I bought a one piece solid extender from amazon that fell apart after about a week. Hard to trust some of that low cost stuff. I like the solid one piece extenders as they would work better for the booster seat use by a child since it sticks up in the air.

Iím not using anything right now but plan to see what the dealer option looks like from this tech bulletin at my next visit.

LOL, you are buying a piece of safety equipment that people's lives depend on. Why would you ever think of cheaping out on that? LOL this forum sometimes...
